ADOPT A STREET/PARK PROGRAM This program was established by the City of Lake Stevens to create a better environment by encouraging citizen participation and reducing litter. We take pride in knowing that Lake Stevens is a beautiful and livable city. The Adopt-A-Street/Park offers an easy and fun way for the community to get involved and keep the City of Lake Stevens a beautiful place to live. The City of Lake Stevens encourages anyone to take part. All you need is a desire to maintain and enhance the beauty of the City. Examples of potential adopting groups include community groups, youth groups, recreational clubs, schools, business or individuals Participating groups agree to remove litter from assigned sections of streets and or parks at least four times a year, over a two year period. Participating groups agree to remove litter from at least six street blocks or one park. In return, the City of Lake Stevens erects permanent signs identifying the adopting group, provides safety vests, trash bags and collects filled trash bags. We hope this program will remind everyone to dispose of trash properly and generally take pride in the care of your City streets/parks and the environment. We hope your group will become part of the solution. APPLICATIONS/FORMS |
