ABOUT OUR MAYOR
Honorable Mayor Vern Little, a resident of Lake Stevens for nearly 20 years, was elected Mayor in November 2007 after fulfilling the final year as Mayor when Mayor Walty stepped down.  Previous to that he was a member of the City Council for three years.

Vern also currently works as a Senior Quality Manager for the Boeing Company where he has worked for 30 years. He is responsible for an organization of 140 employees, as well as developing and managing a budget of several million dollars. His career at Boeing is where he has developed solid communication, team building and working together skills making him a good leader for the City of Lake Stevens.

Vern has been active in the community in a variety of ways. He was an active member (13 years) and Past-President of the Lake Stevens Junior Athletic Club. He also coached Basketball, Baseball and Football for several years. 

Among his committee and board positions:
• Co-Chairman of the Snohomish County Tomorrow, a
   growth management advisory council that deals with
   countywide planning issues
• Member of the Department of Emergency Management

Vern and his wife, Kathy, are parents and grandparents.
