Over the next couple of months we will continue to add additional information and forms to better serve you.

SOUTHWEST ANNEXATION UPDATE

The November 3, General Election will be officially certified on November 24, 2009

If the proposed Southwest Annexation ballot proposition should pass in favor of annexation then the effective date of the annexation will be December 31, 2009.  Residents living in the proposed annexation area will begin to be served by the City

of Lake Stevens on that date.  Emergency Services will still continue to be accessed

by calling 911.  Police response will change from the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Department to the Lake Stevens Police Department.

If the annexation passes, address changes from Everett, 98205 to Lake Stevens, 98258 will not occur until July 2010.  Mail will be automatically forwarded for 12 months following the July 2010 address change; however, residents are responsible for changing addresses on personal accounts after you receive notice from the

Post Office that your address has changed.
